She was the slightly precocious teenager who scored a hit single with her debut track Leave (Get Out).
But on Friday night in Los Angeles Jo-Jo showed she is all grown up as she attended a charity event in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old wore a dress with a very daring plunging neckline that bared her considerable cleavage.
Green goddess: Singer JoJo wears a plunging
green dress as she attends a charity event at the Beverly Hilton hotel
in Beverly Hills on Friday
The former child star, real name Joanna Levesque, looked very glamorous in the full length, long sleeved green gown.
The dress was very covered up apart from the gaping cut-out section at the front with the material ruching just under her chest.
The detail exposed the
curvaceous star's cleavage and the flimsy jersey material didn't
give much support.
The pretty singer turned actress was suitably made-up for the glamorous event and wore her hair down with a loose wave.
Confident: The blue eyed star looked confident to be flashing the flesh as she posed for photographers
She kept her accessories simple
with just a gold ring on one finger and a bronzed clutch bag allowing
her daring dress to take centre stage.
The 22-year-old was attending a
charity event where philanthropists raise funds for drought-stricken
areas of Africa through an annual 'Night of Generosity'.
Jo Jo shot to fame at the age of 12 on the television programme America's Most Talented Kids.
Despite losing the talent contest
she was quickly snapped up by a record label and started working on her
debut record which was released in 2004.
Wave: The former child star waves at
photographers as she walks the red red carpet at the annual Night of
Generosity charity event
Rear view: The green gown flattered the star's
curvaceous figure as she adopted the classic over the shoulder pose
showing off the back and side view of her dress
Whilst she experienced success as a singer as she grew up the star turned her hand to acting and has a
couple of films under her belt including Aquamarine and RV: Runaway
Vacation as well as appearing in the television series Hawaii Five-O.
Her most recent film is GBF, an
indie teen comedy movie about gay best friends and social warfare by
director Darren Stein and co-starring Rebecca Gayheart which premiered
at the Tribeca Film Festival in the summer.
Later in September JoJo is also
due to take part in Jawbreaker: The Musical! based on the '90s cult
movie classic.
Back in the day: The singer as a 13-year old making an appearance on MTV's Total Request Live in September 2004
Wholesome: A 14-year-old JoJo attends the Cosmo
Girl! magazine celebration for it's annual Born to Lead awards in New
York in November 2005
